TRUMP, The NFL, And The ANGRY PUBLIC *New Video*

On Sunday it was the activity before kickoff that took center stage.

In reaction to Trump’s comments about firing protesting NFL players, many players … protested. This ticked off a lot of fans.

It’s easy to get wrapped up in this one situation. But if we scale back, we can see how situations like this have been building for some time. With everyone now knowing everyone’s political opinions, it was only a matter of time until sports (like businesses, churches, etc.) felt the effects of politics entering the arena. And Trump is the perfect figure to put this movement into overdrive.

The owners should fire them. If the flight crew, midflight, decided they were going to make a protest and not serve the passengers, you can be the airline would fire them, and they would have every right to. Same goes for the right of the teams owners.

The players are in the position to affect change, and shine light on a subject which is a stain on our nation, namely racial inequality. Their peaceful protest, in solidarity with people who are not treated as equal Americans, is well within their right to free speech, and protected by our Constitution. Our rights are why our soldiers have stood and died for our nation. Check the 90 year old WWII Veteran joining them in that viral video, which has been viewed by millions. A WWII hero, who is agreeing with their Constitutional right of peaceful non-violent protest. The analogy of a flight crew not doing their jobs is inaccurate at best. The players are not refusing to play. They are taking a nonviolent, symbolic knee. They represent the strength and courage our country could display, if it gets past the hate and fear of racism.

Let them take a knee, right into unemployment. The time has come to simply stop buying tickets, to stop watching. They have the rught to protest. So do we.
