Fund Drive For Tanzania School — Culminating On The 50th Floor

Remember 2014?

That was the year Russia annexed Crimea, the year of the Ebola outbreak, the year Germany won the World Cup, and the year I spent at the small village school in central Tanzania.

Three years after I brought computers to Magulilwa, the secondary school continues to thrive as an educational beacon in this East African nation.

We at Change it Forward Tanzania–the nonprofit in the Twin Cities that supports the school–are in the midst of a fundraising drive. And on May 6, we are holding our biannual Brick by Brick benefit dinner at Windows on Minnesota on the 50th floor of the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis.

I’m writing to invite all reading this to attend. It will be an evening getting to know fellow supporters, hearing from those who’ve worked at the school (including myself), and then seeing photos and footage of the progress we’ve made at the school, at the village, and in the lives of the hundreds of students who’ve attended our top-ranked school.

Of course, if you can’t make it, we’re more than pleased for your participation by donating money, resources, or even making visit to our school. (You know you’ve always wanted to go to East Africa:)
