Ayla Travels The World, Part 5: Video Of The Vatican

Two weeks into Ayla’s 3-month trek across the globe, the Norwegian was now going to leave her home continent. After Italy and Malta, it was time to see Africa for the first time–starting with Egypt. IMG_20160402_222118

But wait…

Ayla had a flight itinerary hiccup that took her to Rome (and enough time to see the Vatican.) Before she set off to see the Muslim world, Ayla was able to enjoy this home base for Christianity, as well as miraculously meet back up with a previous travel companion.

This week, we’ll let Ayla’s video do the talking.

The Vatican

Rome was special because it shows the magic of travel.

The amazing girl, Jasmine, who I met in Naples, suddenly reappeared. So we got to share one more day together!

Jasmine showed me Rome and I got to meet her friend, who turned out to be into karate like me and who knew a lot of the people that I knew!

Oh, and we saw the Vatican(!) before I flew out to Egypt the next day. Enjoy my video of this experience, and I’ll see you next week in Egypt!

Ayla is a 20-year-old Norwegian who loves to learn new things and study new cultures. She’s Christian, and in her more normal life (when not eating donkey sandwiches in China and taking trains across Italy), she does dancing and karate.
