Forum: Is The U.S.A. The Greatest Country?

Last night at my Toastmasters meeting (it’s a club devoted to help member practice their public speaking), a presenter asked the audience their opinions of the U.S. The questions were so thought provoking, I thought I’d turn around and ask you:

America the Beautiful

#1: Would you consider the U.S. the greatest country in the world?

America the once-was

#2: Do you think the U.S. is the greatest place to live? If not, where do you think is better?

I like these questions because they encourage a global perspective. I like how they get us thinking about all the pros and cons of our home nation. (Many complain, but how bad are things really?) I like how they get us to think about how the U.S. and the rest of the world has changed over the years.

I’d like to hear what you think…

One needs to travel overseas a few times and not to touristy areas like resorts etc but to live spend time and experience local living in any country. And one will appreciate the good old USA.
I feel America is the best place in the world and there in no country like this on earth. Granted there are a bad apples but that exist anywhere in the world.
America extends its arms taking in millions of immigrants, refugees and others . In this country everyone knows their heritage and this is what makes America so great.
We have laws, facilities , conveniences , nature , beauty and god has given this country vast natural resources.

I have lived in other countrirs and travel frequently and whenever I come back home it’s like coming to .ike no other place.
I would not change this country with any others country,
    Enjoy it.
    God bless America,

What say you?
