Conversation on Justice Grows: On Mike McFeely Show Today

My commentary in the Star Tribune on Tuesday got a strong response. I wrote about the alleged ex-Nazi living in NE Minneapolis and asked he be left alone. My biggest criticism of the justice people seek in this case is that it’s often a vehicle for revenge.

I was honored to be a guest on the John Williams show on WCCO radio Tuesday afternoon to discuss my ideas on justice. Like most of the feedback received for the article, the host disagreed with my take, but he appreciated my angle of seeking restoration above punishment when dealing with an offender.

I’m hopeful about the overall discussion we can have about how we treat people who break the law.

And I’m excited to get to continue it today on the Mike McFeely Show based out of Fargo-Moorhead.

If you’re in the area, and are interested in the topic, please tune in today on KFGO-AM 790. I’ll be on between 4:00 and 4:30. If you’re not in the area, click on the link to his show page and listen online.

til then,

-Brandon
